Good Day

Woke up at 4:30. Made some coffee and got ready for my workout.

I broke out my new workout top from the VS semi-annual sale. I have never been able to wear this before due to having to wear 2 bras to workout. Well, look at me now. :) It's a whole lot cheaper when your top actually functions as a bra AND top.
I worked out from 5:30-6:30. Our workout today functioned mostly on upper body. We did a whole lot of burpees, pushups and pull ups. Speaking of....I had a monumental moment today! I did not one but 6 pull ups unassisted. I have never known that feeling of strength before.
Meal 1
1/2 cup oats
2 tbsp PB2
2 tbsp ground flaxseed
2 tbsp Psyllium seed
splash unsweetened almond milk

Last minute puppy cuddles before work.
Meal 2
6 egg whites
2 cups of spinach - sauteed

More coffee!! - sweetened with stevia and splash of creamer
Meal 3
3 cups broccoli
1/5 block of firm tofu
sprinkle matchstick carrots
1 tbsp peanut sauce
1 cup green tea
Meal 4
2 cups lettuce
12 cherry tomatoes
sprinkle carrots/onion
2 oz grilled chicken breast
Meal 5
6 egg whites
1 cup spinach sauteed
1 protein bar - supreme protein carb conscious
I noticed after eating this bar - my cravings went through the roof. It is full of sugar alcohols. Regardless of being low carb, sugar etc. I think I should continue staying away from all processed foods including protein bars for the next couple weeks.

I came home from work and made a pre-workout smoothie of vanilla protein powder, water and zip fizz energy mix. It was so good and tasted like a dreamsicle and was only 80 calories and 18g protein!

I ate a chicken salad like the one above for dinner after the gym.

Believe it or not, I ate ALL that food and it was only...
Calories 1,200
Carbs 96
Fat 24
Protein 147
Fiber 28
Sugar 20
I burned 1,040 calories combined in my workouts for a net intake of only 160 calories. All in all I am pretty proud of myself and feeling good about my choices today. Proof that with careful meal planning, you can eat a lot of food and eat all the time and not reck your diet.

Here's to an EVEN better day tomorrow. :)
