Day Four/81 days to go

I was so discouraged this morning to get on the scale and discover that cheat day put me back at ground zero on the weight loss track. I understand the importance of cheating but if I had the will power, I would go ahead and say I could do without it. I made my now weekly ritual trip to Whole Foods on Sunday and meal planned the week ahead. I knew I would be busy today so I went ahead and prepared dinner and lunch the next few days.
Today was cardio and I ideally wanted to sweat my butt off on the step mill, but my cheap planet fitness membership doesn't have one. :( I tried to make the best of it by incorporating sprints AND incline work for a total of 60 min of cardio. I burned 560 calories total. Here is my workout.
Sprints
0:00-5:00 warm up at 4mp
5:00-6:00 5mph
6:00-7:00 6mph
7:00-8:00 6.5mph
8:00-9:00 7mph
9:00-10:00 7.5mph
10:00-12:00 6.5 mph
12:00-13:00 7.5mph
13:00-15:00 6.5mph
15:00-16:00 7.5mph
16:00-18:00 7mph
18:00-19:00 7.5mph
19:00-21:00 7mph
21:00-22:00 7.5mph
22:00-23:00 7mph
23:00-24:00 8mph
24:00-25:00 5mph
25:00-30:00 cool down
I did the same for the next 30 min but at the max incline of 15% and my speed ranged from 2mph-5mph and maintained a HR around 165-185. I sweated  A LOT! Hopefully it will make up for not having a stair mill.
I get so discouraged looking at my inspiration pictures because I feel so far from my goal, but all I can do is take one day at a time. I am only 4 days into this. I'll just have to keep reminding myself that fact these next few days. Tomorrow is group training. I would love to squeeze in a cardio session in the morning but seeing as I have to be at work at 6:00am, that would call for a 3:30am wake up call. Ill set my alarm, but I'll set a 4:45 alarm for back up as well. :)

+ I completed my sprint workout and have done well on my diet today
+ I have drank at least a gallon of water every day since Friday
- I attempted to use a self tanner and it went horribly wrong
+ I think I might have just sweated enough today to smear it all off

One day at a time,
- Whitt

  1. I completed the program in May. You will see changes soon. Keep at it. You bounce back after cheat days around day 2 and the scale moves again. You sound really motivated so there is nothing it seems that will get in your way. Can't wait to see your progress.
