Day Two

I spent the morning Saturday working out with the trainers for our community workout. It was a pretty tough workout mixing running, push ups, kettle bells, pull ups, dive bombers etc. I was able to burn 574 calories. I was also able to maintain my diet plan all day, which was quite an improvement to my previous "weekend warrior" behavior. We celebrated a friend's birthday and I sipped sugar free monster from a wine glass to feel like I was engaging. The pros were I didn't waste the calories AND I didn't fall asleep sitting up like I normally do at parties by 11 pm. I have already ran into a difficult nutrition battle in regards to eating high protein, low caloric, low fat food. I did some research and here is what I have come up with.

I have enjoyed my bison but the calories and fat basically kill up a lot of my allotment. I bought some edamame, black beans and tofu to incorporate into my diet this week. Chicken is the all around best choice due to it's basically no fat component and high amount of protein. Ground turkey is the second best choice for me. I unfortunately do not have the luxury of incorporating fish in my diet due to my intense dislike for seafood.
I woke up this pleasant Sunday morning highly anticipating my chance to hop on the scale due to all my hard work on Saturday. I was pleased to find out in two days of hard work, I was able to loose 0.8 lbs. Today was my cheat day but I couldn't allow myself to let go completely. I couldn't imagine spending 2 days to catch up on all my hard work. I did use a piece of cheddar cheese with my egg whites this morning. I went to homeslice pizza for lunch and had one piece of spinach/ricotta pizza and a house salad with a piece of garlic bread. I wanted bread on my cheat day and cheese. Now I am completely satisfied and am actually craving a nutritious and balanced dinner.
