I could barely sleep last night due to the excitement I had for my morning workout. I prepped all my meals and my coffee pot was set to auto brew at 4:30 am. My alarm went off at 4:20 and I was up and ready. I let the coffee settle and went on my way to the workout. I was greeted by the trainers and the nervousness slowly settled as I began my warm up: high knees, butt kicks, jumping jacks... I've got this. I had an amazing workout with Nicole and burned approx 500-600 calories in one hour. We concentrated on legs/glutes and shoulders today. I can tell which muscle groups I enjoy training due to the fact my legs are so much stronger than my arms. I got my new fancy heart rate/calorie burn Polar watch and felt amazing, a little shaky, but nice and sweaty and smelly. Mmmm.
I then rushed to work because we had a busy morning and they needed me by 7:30. I knew they had a shower in the changing room but didn't anticipate it to be so tiny/filled with crap/dark and COLD. Yea, the whole no hot water thing was pretty terrible. I at least washed the funk off and had 7 min left to eat my breakfast. All in all, worked out pretty smoothly.
I took some pictures of my meals today.
For Breakfast, I scrambled 5 egg whites with spinach and cherry tomatoes.
It was a really busy day at work so my snack was a pretty sad excuse to stuff my face as fast as I could before lunch. I failed in the snack department today. My Ezekiel bread was hard as a rock and I over steamed my edamame, so half a piece of Eziekel bread later, I was done. The 40 calories was just pathetic.
I had an amazingly tasty lunch of lean ground turkey breast, broccoli slaw and brown rice. Definitely could have used some more veggies on that one.
By the time I got home at 4:30, I was very hungry. I made a protein shake that was more caloric than any other meal that day, but I needed it.
After a nice nap I woke up and had my first experiment with bison. Wow!! Soo good and juicy!. I stuffed it with some spinach and a touch of soy cheese for fun. I paired it with some zuchini/squash that I seasoned (no sodium) like you would potatoes. It was very tasty. I have a feeling I'll be eating alot of Bison these next 12 weeks.
I drank my whole gallon of water with ease and then some. It helped me to literally buy a gallon water bottle. I filled it half way the night before and froze it and then filled it the rest of the way this morning. Worked great!
I am going to start making a list of +/- that give a overview of how I felt about my day.
+ Great workout, drank all my water, kept eating clean, didn't go over my calorie alotment, logged my food journal
++++ Went to Chuy's with friends after my dinner and munched on lettuce and filled my belly with large glasses of water and tea! NO CHIPS! I know! Hallelujah, Amen, I can't believe it. I must really really want this ;)
- I have officially told everyone about my current plan of transformation which means I CAN NOT FAIL if I ever want to look them in the face again.
- The cold shower at work was pretty horrible. Hopefully I wont have to resort to that option often.
Alright, time to get some shut eye before my early AM workout.
Better version of me day one down.
