I am officially 11.8 days into this.
I am starting to see results already.
Here are some positive changes I have made that I feel are becoming more natural.
- No sugar/sweets I'm so surprised by this. I am actually not craving them. For some reason when I count every calorie, they are less and less appealing, knowing their ultimate cost
- I am easily drinking 1 Gallon water a day and then some
- I am eating a lot more veggies A sprinkle here, a snack there... When they make more food available on my plate and cost so little in the calorie department, I can't help but love them.
- I crave my workouts This is crazy, but I know that I get out what I put in. Good/strong workouts = awesome results, which in turn make me want to keep working out
- I have so much support My husband has been amazing, changing his eating habits, working out in the mornings too, understanding my time commitments, etc. Friends letting me borrow their stairs for the evening, co-workers, sisters, etc. Everyone has been really great. I hope I can truly make you all proud!
- I am making sleep a priority It is no longer about making it through the day, but resting enough so my 4:15 am alarm clock is not as painful and so I have the energy and stamina to make it through not only 1 but 2 (sometimes) grueling workouts a day
My new Oxygen Mag came in the mail yesterday and I am dying to try this new recipe for Peppermint Protein Ice Cream!! I'll give it a try this weekend and let you know. Somehow they mix protein powder, almond milk, peppermint extract and greek yogurt to make one of my favorite treats. Sounds doubtful, but its worth trying with only 106 cal/3g fat/13g protein/4g sugar ...it might be just perfect. ;)
Could it be true? Could I have this (sorta)
So much of this whole thing is mental. I would actually say it is the perfect formula of 50% nutrition, 20% exercise and 30% mental!! As the holidays approach and fattening, delicious food surrounds me, it is all about perspective.
Eat this...
Eat this...
Or have a body like this to be proud of
Making changes one day at a time.
Be better,
- Whittney C.
