I decided to post my before and current pictures, 9 weeks out from when I started. I am so embarrassed because I didn't realize JUST how much I was out of shape. I have a little over 3 more weeks until the program is competed and a little over 2 weeks until the competition.
Week 1: 20% body fat, 152 pounds
Week 9: 10% body fat, 138.6 pounds
My goal is 129 pounds and 8% body fat. I really hope I can reach that goal by the deadline.
I played around on the treadmill this morning, mixing up intervals and the incline to make my hour of cardio more exciting. It is crazy how quick my heart rate recovers now after sprint intervals. I was up to 160 bpm and then within 1 min recovery, I was already almost to 115 heart rate. It's frustrating because my calorie expenditure is then decreased. Oh well, I guess I just have to keep pushing myself harder and harder. It's chilly outside but I opted to do my cardio outside this afternoon because the gym is madness this time of year. Lucky for me I got these awesome gloves from my friend Kait to keep me warm. Six miles later and 650 more calories burned and I'm done for the day.
Had a good posing practice last night. Getting more comfortable in my heels and suit. I lost 2 of my sequins that I could find. Hope they do not all start falling off.
Started packing for the trip and making my LIST. I also purchased a snickers bar for me to eat right before the show. I couldn't find any articles explaining this but he has something to do with the reaction of simple sugars and pumping of your cells. Oh well, I'll take it! :)
Have a great Thursday!
