The Final Touches

I have been crazily getting ready to go out of town. The type A in me is drowning in lists and checklists to make sure I am prepared as I can be for something I have never experienced before.  Here is what I have been up to.

Training: cardio, cardio, cardio, and a whole lot more cardio. Mostly stair master and sprint intervals or walking/jogging on high incline. I actually got up and in the gym by 4:00 am twice this week in order to squeeze 2 sessions in. Im going nuts. My abs are really starting to flatten out though and my butt is getting bigger, SLOWLY but surely.



Eating: protein and veggies. Mostly egg whites and spinach with a touch of carbs for breakfast and then 4 meals of grilled chicken or ground turkey with 2 cups of lettuce, zuchinni or asparagus and 1 small half a sweet potato with a sprinkling of protein shakes.

Competition prep: This has been all kinds of time consuming.

Hair - doing myself and have been practicing. Confirmed color apt for next Thursday.

Makeup - went to MAC on Sunday and learned how to apply smoky bold eyes and fake eyelashes since I'll be doing this myself as well.


Skin - Been moisturizing nightly and drove across town today to pick up some Jan Tana. If you must know its an all over tanner I put on ON TOP of my air brushed tan. I also ordered bikini bite to keep my suit in place and muscle juice to oil appropriately. I have to pack latex gloves and my own sheets and towels so I do not ruin the hotels. CRAZY, I know.  Confirmed tanning apt for next Thursday. I went to this great fitness shop called Max Muscle and the salesman offered me free samples of protein powder in flavors like tiramisu, chocolate mint and birthday cake. I can't wait to try this stuff!


Suit - Dropped off today to get pads inserted to help the ladies have more OMPH. :) Ran out of mula to buy a backup but apparently they sell them at the expo, worst case scenario

Heels - I have been doing daily chores such as dishes and cooking in them to help get comfortable in them.

Teeth - I have been whitening every night before bed

Jewelry - found perfect earrings but still looking for the perfect bangle.

Nails - scheduled to have my solars placed Saturday. Confirmed pedicure apt for next Thursday.

Emergency kit - made a emergency kit containing all things necessary like super glue, safety pins, sewing kit, mirror, scissors, white nail polish, etc.

I ordered contacts, scheduled rental car, made dinner reservations, printed out maps and confirmations, ordered dress for dinner after show, began packing...

Cute new dress I got! I wanted this 3 months ago and it went on sale yesterday for $18! I got it along with this cute bunny skirt I have been wanting.
Not really the sexy dress I was looking for to wear after the competition to dinner, but this is much more my style. ;)


Going to pair this skirt with my black tights, black wedge lace ups, black tank top and cardigan. Cute eh?

Shopping is so much more fun when clothes fit! Too bad my wallet size didn't increase with my drop in pant size.

Weird problems I have now with my new body.
1) shaving my armpits. I have this deep crevasse I believe due to my muscle development and weight loss and shaving is rather impossible.
2) jean shopping. I officially fit all the size 2's but now they are a little loose in the butt and hips but I can't fit a zero because my thighs are still too big. Trust me, Im not complaining, just find it to be a weird problem to have.

Ill update soon, but please know I might be a little busy this next week getting ready.

Here is my life the next week.

Wedneday: Group training, work, posing practice with coach and talk LA
Thursday: Stair master in the AM, work, sprint training in pm
Friday: Group training, work, get new camera and take pics of memory card
Saturday: Group training, nail apt, sprint training, packing. posing practice, pick up contacts, grocery store
Sunday: nice easy run, relax, pack, posing practice, trip details
Monday: group training, work, stair master
Tuesday: cardio, work, more cardio
Wednesday: group training, work, last chance workout
Thursday: yoga!! SPA day!! waxing, hair apt, nails, massage and tanning. Meal prep for trip, drop puppy off :(
Friday: LEAVE!!!!!!
