I had some requests for my nutrition plan. Here is an example of what I eat for breakfast. I'll post more tomorrow for the rest of my meals. I've listed 3 options. I usually consume about 20-30 grams of protein for my first meal and it is my most caloric meal, ranging between 250-300 calories. I usually work out on a empty stomach first thing in the morning and I am starving for food by 6am. I keep almost all my carbs from grains/bread etc in my first meal of the day.
Oatmeal
1/3 cup oatmeal
2 tbsp ground flaxseed
2 tbsp phyllium husk
splash of almond milk
plus
1 scoop protein powder (in oatmeal)
or
4 egg whites with 2 cups spinach sauteed
Protein Smoothie (favorite option - it's like a milkshake)
1 scoop no sugar/carb, low cal *protein powder
1 cup almond milk
2 tbsp ground flaxseed
2 tbsp phyllium husk
(if I had a LONG and HARD workout, I'll throw in half a frozen banana)
*Protein Powders - I look for protein powders that are about 100 cal per scoop, have about 20-26 grams of protein and have little or no carbs and sugar.
Example - It's About Time whey protein powder
flavors: chocolate, birthday cake, cinnamon swirl, strawberry, peaches and cream, mocha mint, vanilla peanut butter, banana.
Cal 103, Protein 25, Carbs 0, Sugar 0
PB wrap
1 low carb tortilla (La tortilla factory)
2 tbsp PB2
plus
4 egg whites
2 cups spinach sauteed
