Keeping It Interesting

With all this cardio, I needed something to keep my interest. Here is a plyometric circuit I did today, followed by my ab circuit.

5 rounds for time, 1 min. rest between rounds (from FitnessRx October 2011)
10 Burpees
20 Squat Jumps
30 Sumo Squats
40 Split Jumps (20 per leg)
50 Pop Squats

My heart rate maintained between 140-170 and I finished in 31:15 and burned 330 calories. :) Combined with the 580 calories I burned this morning doing glutes and going for a short 4 mile run, I am up to 910 calories, and it's only 2:45pm. My idea of a productive day off. :)

I hope to try this circuit later this week or today if I am up to it. Now is not the time to hold back. I want to be on that stage and know I tried my hardest.

4 rounds for time, 1 min rest between rounds
10 push ups
20 frog jumps
20 walking lunges (10 per leg)
10 box (bench) jumps
20 sit ups
20 mountain climbers
10 wide squat high jumps

Abs - 3 sets, 20 reps (RevEx Community workout on Saturday...thanks Gab!)
bicycle crunch
leg raises
right side crunch (roll knees to one side and crunch up)
left side crunch
standard crunch

On another note....I am craving sweets so badly, making me want to workout even harder so I can enjoy them when I am allowed them, AFTER the competition. I know I shouldn't get too excited because I
could realistically only eat one of the items before making myself sick.

To subside my cravings I combined 1/4 cup of 0% greek yogurt, splash of almond milk and a sprinkle of PB2 and sugar free hot cocoa for tasty sweet treat. Can't wait to try this out though!!

Donuts from Randy's donuts - the famous landmark off Sunset Blvd in Los Angeles.

Vegan/Gluten free bake goods from Babycakes NYC

Oh and I wouldn't mind a cocktail or two. :)

Train hard. Push yourself. You'll be surprised to learn what your limit is and the funny thing is, that limit keeps getting higher and higher and higher...

Be Better.
