Nutrition Nutrition, oh Nutrition

I was recently introduced to the nutritional therapy practitioner program. I have to say I think I am leaning on investing my time and education to focus heavily on nutrition. Here is my rationale.
If I pursue an education program that focuses on exercise physiology, I will be able to train my future (currently non-existent) clients on proper form and body mechanics and how to preform exercises to meet there goals. But if there is anything I have learned from this experience, it is the important role that nutrition truly plays in order to get the results you need. If I pursue an education program that will teach me the science of nutrition, how to assess a person's diet, how to decipher what nutrients they need and how to develop a nutrition plan that helps them reach their goals, I feel that I will be highly valuable for my clients. They are not lying when they say "Abs are made in the kitchen." So, as of today I plan to find a program that will allow me to have the tools needed to understand the true science of nutrition and the role that food plays in our bodies. If you want your body to be healthy, feel good, not ache, etc. you have to fuel it appropriately.

I also found a list of 8 different competitions in the state of Texas next year that will keep me training year round.
April - Texas Shredder here in Austin!
May - Musclemania Lonestar -  Galveston
June - INBA LoneStar State Champions - Azle
July - Texas State Natural - Mesquite
          Fit Model Search - Austin
          Musclemania - San Antonio
August - INBA Nationals - Ft. Worth
October - Musclemania - Ft. Worth

I just booked our hotel in LA!! We are staying in a nice hotel just 1 mile from the convention center. I wanted to be as close as possible since I will have a 5:00am tanning session as well. I am excited because we got a great deal on it and it is actually a really nice hotel. YEA! Vacation!! I decided to show you a picture of my suit and my progress 30 days out from the show. Not the best quality but just a sneek peek of my progress.

I hope everyone has a wonderful last day of 2011! Do something great to celebrate the last day of the year. I am going for a long run on the lake and then my husband and I are driving to Dallas to spend the weekend with our friends and family bringing in the new year.
Happy New Year!!
